Lori Scout® (“Lori Scout”, “the Service”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) is a product of LORI Platform Inc., a company incorporated in Ontario, Canada, with its registered office in Brampton, Ontario. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, share, and protect information — including data we access from your Google Account — when you use Lori Scout at scout.loriplatform.com (and, during migration, at app.loriscout.com). By connecting your email account to Lori Scout, you agree to the practices described here.

Lori Scout is an AI back-office assistant for logistics. When you connect an email account (via Google/Gmail OAuth or IMAP), Lori Scout acts on your behalf as both a reader and sender of email in order to: read incoming logistics email to extract shipment data; match carriers and generate documentation; and send email on your behalf from your connected account.
(a) Account/profile data (name, email, company, login identifiers). (b) Google Account data (Gmail): with your explicit consent via Google’s OAuth consent screen, Lori Scout accesses your Gmail using the https://www.googleapis.com/auth/gmail.modify scope to (i) read message content, headers, and metadata to extract logistics information and (ii) compose and send email on your behalf. Lori Scout does not permanently delete your email and does not request that ability. (c) Email account data for non-Google mailboxes (IMAP/SMTP). (d) Operational data (shipments, carriers, generated documents). (e) Technical/log data needed to operate and secure the Service.
We use Google Account data solely to provide and improve the user-facing features described in Section 2. We do not use it for advertising, do not sell it, and do not transfer it to third parties except as necessary to provide/improve user-facing features, to comply with law, or in a merger/acquisition with notice. We do not allow humans to read your Google user data except (i) with your explicit consent, (ii) for security, (iii) to comply with law, or (iv) on aggregated/anonymized data for internal operations.
Lori Scout’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not use restricted-scope Gmail data to train generalized AI/ML models; any AI processing of your email is performed only to deliver features you request within Lori Scout.
Data is stored on managed cloud infrastructure (Supabase, Vercel) with access controls, encryption in transit (TLS), and encryption at rest where supported. Production access is restricted to authorized personnel on a need-to-know basis.
We share data only with sub-processors that help run the Service (cloud hosting, database, AI processing) under confidentiality/data-protection obligations; with authorities where required by law; and with a successor entity in a merger/acquisition, subject to this Policy. We do not sell your personal information or Google user data.
We retain data while your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. You may disconnect your Google Account at any time via myaccount.google.com/permissions or within Lori Scout, and request deletion of your account and data by emailing privacy@loriplatform.com; we will delete or anonymize your data within 30 days of a verified request, except where retention is required by law. Revoking access stops all further access to your Google data.
Depending on your jurisdiction (including Canada’s PIPEDA and, where applicable, the EU/UK GDPR), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or port your personal data. Contact privacy@loriplatform.com to exercise them.
We implement administrative, technical, and physical safeguards; no method is completely secure. Lori Scout is a business tool not intended for anyone under 18. We may update this Policy; material changes will be communicated via the Service or email, and the “Last updated” date revised.
